The Ninth Annual Judicial Conference was held from April
4 to 11, 1985. It was chaired by Chief Justice, Dasho
Paljor Dorji, and inaugurated by the Home Minister,
His Excellency Lyonpo T. Jagar..
The
People's Representative, Dasho Jigmet Wangdi and Dasho
Krishna Bahadur Ghaley, welcomed the district judges
and Dasho Paljor Dorji assured them of his support and
cooperation to ensure an efficient judiciary in the
country.
The
conference discussed problems faced by the district
raised several points to be include in the law book
during its amendment.
Among
the other points discussed, the conference explained
the need for district Thrimpons to submit annual reports
to the High Court, and the physical problems faced of
the district courts were considered.
