Case Information System

Case Information System(CIS) is a system where all the case details are captured. It is in use in all the courts in the country. The CIS keeps track of the cases, petitions, orders, hearings witnesses; it maintains information related to the cases in automated form. It can generate comparative periodic reports on the status and trends of cases being heard, disposed and pending.

The Case Information System has been developed keeping the following objectives in mind:

  • To help the judicial administration in streamlining its activities
  • Computerization of qualitative and quantitative information for analysis, thereby expediting the drafting of the judgments and furthering the objectives of justice; and
  • Submission of Case Statistic Report to the Chief Justice by the Courts on a monthly basis done to study the trend of the cases in the Courts.
